Stars for Memory Maze Design

I was inspired by this quote and the deck chair seemed perfect for this project I could see myself sitting outside at night looking up at the stars

I used black gesso for the background and around the saying to blend it in

After I painted the chair silver I used Buttercup Liquid Drops to give it some texture

I added some Lindy's Magicals to the background and I used Pewter Liquid Drops for the stars

I used the Deck Chair from the Memory Maze Store

Make a wish canvas for Memory Maze

Here's this months project for Memory Maze Design

I love these feathers I have another idea for them and I didn't want to waste the little cut out bits so they were perfect for this project to give lots of texture and dimension

I added some muslin over the background of the canvas before I stuck the cut outs randomly over the canvas making sure to leave space for the picture I was using I then gessoed everything to give it an even finish

I LOVE RUST  and so I used a product called rusty paper with a little bit of brown acrylic to mix it up a bit

I used the Magical Tiffany Lou's blue to add a patina look

And used the rest of the Sweet Treats Magicals over the letters

I added some embellishments to finish it off

The products I used -

I used the @ symbol from this one but cut it down to look like an a
this one I used to write the make

and this one made up the wish

The small pieces I used over the canvas came from these gorgeous leaves

Make sure you pop over to the BLOG and see what other inspiring projects are there from the talented designers

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will come back soon xx

Mannequin for Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenges

My project this month for Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge Blog is a Mannequin

But first I want to show you what you could win if you enter this months challenge on our BLOG

The prize is donated by our generous sponsors Deco Art who have a great range of paint and other products - check out the website to see what they have and where you can buy it

Here is what you could win so get over to the blog and enter your mixed media project

The mannequin was given to me  by my bestie when we had a play date at her place
We went through her stash and gathered everything we might want to use on them

I used plasterers tape, gauze, wire and lots of hot glue sticks to drip over it, then added the embellishments - beads, metal flowers, old jewellery and just random bits we had there

Once I was happy with the placement of everything I  painted it with black gesso covering everything including the embellishments

When it was completely dry I used my favourite paint colours and painted randomly over the mannequin let the colours drip and blend in some parts

I added flowers and glass beads to finish it off

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will be back soon xx

I love mixed media and off the page things, They are so much fun to do,

So when the girls gave me the house to do I was a bit stuck to start with Because I didn't want to do a typical timber looking bird house with paper.

After many layers of texture paste and different coloured Mists Because I couldn't decide on a colour that I liked.

I came up with this
